A Letter to My Clients about My Maternity Leave

20 week ultrasound

20 week ultrasound

Hi there,

I wanted to officially inform you that I will be beginning my maternity leave on June 1st.  That means that my last day in the office is May 31st! (It is so hard to believe how quickly this has come upon us!) While I have discussed this in person, I wanted to make sure that you have all of the information you will need as we prepare for this shift in your emotional and relational healthcare.

During my maternity leave, I will not be available for any sort of contact. However, if you should need me for any administrative issues or scheduling, I will be reachable via email beginning September 1st. Please notify all parties that may attempt to contact me on your behalf.

You are welcomed to ask me any questions about this process between now and my last date in the office May 31st. Due to the unpredictable nature of labor, delivery, and pregnancy, these dates may change without much warning. I will contact you via email if any of these dates should suddenly change.

Together, we will be making a plan for your specific treatment, what to do in the event of a mental health emergency, what to do if my availability changes suddenly (i.e. early labor), and how and when to contact me.

I look forward to working with you and your families again upon my return.

Sincerely, Emma
